Victoria - A place to call home.... one day! This City Embraced the Calendars and Us! Definitely if you haven't been there - Get Your Ass out There!

She Said – I love Victoria, Mike and I are moving to this city. We have been on the hunt for where we want to move and I think Victoria wins hands down. Lakes, Oceans, Mountains, Funky Style, Restaurants, Beauty, outdoorsy all year round with the temperatures – and not as expensive as Calgary!!! We hit up the downtown core to find some places to sell and had huge success – people in Victoria are cool. There are some great great fun shops. Please go see Zydeco, Oscar and Libby’s or Utopia to buy our calendars. The first two are fun kitchy stores that carry unique gifts and the owners (Molli at Zydeco and Teri at Oscar and Libby’s are great!!!). Utopia is a cool Tshirt store (1307 Government Street). Mike got a hilarious Tshirt of a Robot Dance contest with two guys doing the robot dance winning first and second and a robot sitting on the third podium crying (you have to see it). You can visit Doug there!

We went to visit with my longtime childhood friend Jessica, her husband Dan and new baby Evelyn. It was a short visit, but really nice to see them…. Then we went for dinner at Il Terrazzo – yummy Italian food in an amazing setting – bricks with ivy and romance and warmth and awesomeness. It was a recommendation from our friends in Calgary Lawrence and Henry and they were bang on. The food was wicked and the chocolate no flour cake desert was to die for. We then went to an Irish Pub to meet up with Mike’s friend Brandon – some great conversation and then back to his place to crash for the night (thanks Brandon). Meanwhile we scopped out where we might like to set up shop!

He Said – Victoria, just love it here, always have. I think one of these days I will probably move there. And I don’t think my parents would mind either because it will be a good place for them to come and visit. Just did our usual walk around sussing out the area and seeing if we could find any stores that would be interested in the calendar. We had our best luck – three different stores picked up our product. Oscar and Libby’s, Zydeco and Utopia (a cool T-shirt shop). Andrea got to catch-up with some of her friends from back in the day and then we had our first romantic dinner at some nice Italian sensual restaurant. Then we met Brandon for some beers at Irish Times. Had a good chat, some catch up, great live music, and Brandon guided us back to his place where we stayed the night. Would have liked to have stayed longer but we had to get to Salt Spring to meet Steve from Hang Glide Vancouver Island.
